Lala Lajpath Rai along with Madan Mohan Malavya founded the Nationalist Party

- Lucknow Session-1916: (Presided by Ambika Charan Mazumdar) Lucknow Pact (1916) was signed between the INC and the Muslim League.
- The Main Provisions: (a) Principle of separate electorates was accepted, (b) Demand for a representative government and Dominion Status for India.
